    MS Dhoni was born on 7th July 1981 in Almora, Lamgara district of Uttarakhand, his hometown. His father Pan Singh moved to Ranchi from Uttarakhand and held a high position in Mekong. Ms Dhoni's sister is Jayanthi Gupta (sister) and her brother is  Narendra Singh Dhoni.

    Dhoni studied at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Ranchi, Jharkhand, and played various sports like badminton, football, and cricket. He was a goalkeeper for his football team and played cricket for the local team.
