Pushpa 2: The Rule is an upcoming Indian Telugu language action drama film directed by Sukumar and produced by Mithri Movie Makers, with Sukumar's writing team, the film stars Allu Arjun in the lead role and Fahadh Fasil and Rashmika Mandanna have their roles. It is the second installment of the Pushpa film series and the sequel to Rise.

10% of the main film was originally shot together with the original. However, Sukumar decided to change the story, leading to principal photography in October 2022. With a budget of ₹ 500 crores, the film is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, and slated for an August 15, 2024 release coincides with India's Independence Day.

Since the beginning of April, anticipation for ‘Flower 2: Rules’ has reached new heights. The makers recently teased fans on social media with a sneak peek and hinted at the upcoming release of Allu Arjun as Haath Pushpa. It read, “It’s that time of year #FoolsJather starts tomorrow. Loading exciting announcements. Get ready for the #Pushpa2TheRule Grand Release Worlds on August 15, 2024. 

 While everyone is waiting for it, the makers have also assured that it will be "big and grand" starring Allu Arjun. Amidst the excitement surrounding the film, a recent report has surfaced that rubbishes the rumors that Pushpa 2 may be delayed.

According to sources close to entertainment portal Pinkvilla, the shooting of the film is expected to be completed by the end of May. Sources reveal that Sukumar and Allu Arjun are committed to completing the shoot of Pushpa 2 by the end of May 2024. Its shoot is currently around 100 days and the team will shoot continuously for the next 5 months before it can call it a wrap. Sukumar has his model of shooting and editing a film as everything is written, shot, and shot directly on the editing table. The people who have worked with Sukumar know his working style and the ace director is shooting the film on time.”

"The high VFX shots have already been planned and shot, while the dramatic parts of the songs will be kept back-to-back till the end of the shoot," the source added It’s an extended holiday and producers can’t afford to skip that date. Development -

Pushpa: The Rise was announced to be released in two parts before its release in 2021. The makers said that the first part will be released this year and the second part next year (2022). Initially, 10% of the sequel was shot with the original, however, Sukumar reportedly decided to alter the story to meet audience expectations and rectify earlier mistakes. The official title of Pushpa 2: Rules was announced on August 22, 2022.

Principal photography began on October 30, 2022. A test shoot was held in Hyderabad.
