    Mission and Objectives of the UP Chess Association 

    A strong dedication to advancing and fostering the game of chess is the foundation of the UP Chess Sports Association. It was founded as Uttar Pradesh's chess regulatory body, and it has an association—which is associated with the All India Chess Federation (AICF). It aims to find and nurture future chess champions and turn amateur players into elite professionals. Its main goal is to create a thriving community around the art of chess by offering a strong platform on which players of all ages and abilities can improve. 

    Structure and affiliations

    The Uttar Pradesh Chess Sports Association (UPCSA), which has its headquarters in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is the parent organization of the Up Chess Sports Association. The focus of the association's operations is its registered office, which is situated at 548, Sector-13, Indra Nagar, Lucknow. The association is connected to the All India Chess Federation. The UPCSA fosters regional and state-level contests, develops local talent, and guarantees conformity to national standards.

    Tournaments and competitions

    Many different age groups and skill levels are catered to by the numerous competitions that the UPCSA sponsors. The association offers a wide range of competitive opportunities. This includes the UP State Chess Championship Open and age-specific divisions for both boys and girls. Some of them are Under 5, Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, and Under 19. These competitions provide testing grounds for potential players. Raizada, Mr. Kavita Patel, Mr. Hemant Sharma, and Mr. Deepak Saigal, among others, help students learn a lot of stuff using their chess experience and knowledge. Among the many grandmasters that the AICF has produced are Viswanathan Anand, Nihal Sarin, Pentala Harikrishna, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, and many more. The institution also oversees the management of women's chess in India. At the moment, AICF's headquarters are in New Delhi.
